IP prediagnostic service
Hakim Haouideg is listed in the register of experts recognised by the Belgian Intellectual Property Office (IPObel) for its prediagnostic service for intellectual property.
The service
The prediagnostic service is offered and funded by IPObel, part of the FPS Economy. It is free for companies with a company number at the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises and a registered office in Belgium.
During an interview, the expert maps the company's intellectual property: existing rights, IP clauses in contracts with partners and employees, and how know-how is recorded. The expert then identifies the rights the company could claim and writes a report with recommendations. The report is delivered within 90 days of the request and belongs to the company.
How to apply
Companies apply with the IPObel application form, in French or Dutch, and choose an expert from the register of recognised experts. IPObel then contacts the expert, and the company, the expert and IPObel sign an agreement.
More information on the IPObel website.
Independence
The expert acts independently and confidentially, and may not charge the company for the service. Under the IPObel charter, the expert and the expert's firm may not have had a contract with the company in the 6 months before the agreement is signed, nor enter into one in the 6 months after the service.
