Patent validity analysis

Summary

Presentation given at an IP seminar on 14 December 2012 on researching non-patent literature to assess the validity of a patent. It explains when a validity analysis is needed, for instance before buying a patent or a company whose main assets are patents, or before taking a licence, and shows how online tools such as Google Books, Google News Archive, Google Scholar, Google Patents and the Wayback Machine, and crowd-searching, can uncover prior art.
